SKF is designing new Seal designs that uses a new dual-lip technology which provides additional technology for protection in certain environments and a larger range of SKF Explorer groove ball bearings. For users this is a technology that allows their bearing to last longer and function better especially when the environment is not perfectly conditioned to keep bearings in a good condition. For example if the outside environment is wet, dry or even dusty can cause operating conditions to change bearing quite frequently, but with the new Seals the ball bearings can be protected to last longer and operate better. When I think of airplanes I still think of how two brothers were able to think of an amazing idea, when everybody else doubted them, they didn’t listen to anyone and were able to invent the first aircraft which is incredible because the world was never the same since then. A new option of removable pick and place caps has been announced by Mill-Max manufacturing corp. The line is called the 806 series and features the standard Mill-Max pins but with a new spring loaded removable cap to keep pins centered and protected. The poke-in connectors accept wire gauges 18-22 AWG, with the 18 gauge wire rated up to 10A, and the 20/22 gauge wire rated up to 6A. A new member has joined the PEM family of lock nuts known as Type SL. These steel self-clinching locknuts by Penn Enginering use the TRI-DENT locking system to keep mating screws from loosening due to forces such as vibration, heat cycling, and other disruptions. The lock nuts meet 3 cycle locking performance and lock to the threads of mating screws. Type SL locknuts can also have screws removed without damaging the locking threads. Read more >>
