SilkAir, a branch of Singapore Airlines, secured a fifteen-year rate per flight arrangement with the joint venture group, CFM International.This arrangement allows SilkAir to be able to handle their new LEAP-1B engines that will be inside their new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircrafts. CFM has a large fleet of these new aircrafts, totaling in at thirty-seven Boeing aircrafts. Sikorsky Aircraft manufactured the Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk which is a four-bladed, twin-engine, medium-life utility helicopter. When I think of airplanes I still think of how two brothers were able to think of an amazing idea, when everybody else doubted them, they didn’t listen to anyone and were able to invent the first aircraft which is incredible because the world was never the same since then. Once we took off in the air even the sky couldn’t limit were we can go, for example landing on the moon and reaching mars are all due to the innovation and creativity of people like the wright brothers. Innovation and creativity can be on so many levels from engine innovation to design integrity and more. Having said that when I hear the name Airbus or Airbus Helicopters I think of an organization that puts their efforts into creating a state of the art machines that will serve and bring a very good experience to the operator because of the amount of ingenuity put into their product. International Aircraft Manufacturer Airbus has become an industry leader when it comes to sustainable jet fuel used to power passenger flights. Biofuel powered flights were approved for commercial use in July 2011, and airlines have slowly been incorporating biofuel as a drop-in fuel alternative in commercial flights. NASA has estimated that just a 50% incorporation of biofuel in aviation can reduce overall emissions by 50 to 80%. Use of biofuel as an alternative fuel source requires some reformatting of an aircraft’s components and additional care for the fuel, since it can gel over at colder temperatures and has the tendency to shrink rubber components. The Bombardier CRJ1000 will be used by Binter, an airline based in Spain. This airline serves the regional and inter-island areas within the Canary Islands.
